The Atlanta Public Library District will welcome TikTok star Caitlin Abrams for a special program on Saturday, August 27th at 6:30pm in the Union Hall Building at 114 SW Arch Street. This will be the fourth installment of the Library’s Summer Speaker Series.
Caitlin Abrams, known as @manicpixiemom on the popular social media app, believes that each epitaph tells a unique story, whether it be drama, comedy, tragedy, or all of the above. Her grave cleaning allows the stories she uncovers to be preserved for future generations. She has amassed over 2 million followers and 30 million likes and counting.
Abrams’ riveting content not only showcases breathtaking before-and-after transformations of the stones themselves, but she also provides genealogical research and historical context for the deceased. One could say the cemetery is Abrams’ human library, and she’s dusting off the classics as any good bibliophile would.
